Scholarship recipients are selected by the review committee composed of members of CDI’s management group.
As a cooperative, CDI is committed to providing ways to support our valued staff and their families, on the farm and at our facilities. The CDI Scholarship Program aims to assist the next generation in exploring their educational opportunities.
CDI believes in investing in future leaders, and we are proud to partner with students to achieve their goals. The CDI Scholarship Program is a competitive program that provides financial assistance awards to help pay a portion of the cost of college and/or career training for eligible children of CDI employees and/or member-owners employees’ children.
The number of scholarships awarded each year will be dependent upon the number and quality of applications received.
Scholarships will be awarded for College and/or Vocational/Technical school. All institutions must be accredited and approved by CDI.
A child of a full-time, non-union CDI employee The non-union CDI employee must be employed with CDI when the application is submitted and when the scholarship is awarded to the child of the employee. An applicant’s parent must be employed for a minimum of one year by CDI for the scholarship application to be valid.
A child of a CDI member owner’s employee The member-owner’s employee must be employed by the member-owner when the application is submitted and when the scholarship is awarded to the child of the member-owner’s employee. An applicant’s parent must be employed for a minimum of one year by a CDI member-owner for the scholarship application to be valid. NOTE: The applicant must plan to attend an educational institution in the United States and meet the eligibility requirements outlined above. As well, the term “child,” under this program, means a dependent natural or legally adopted child, stepchild, or legal ward supported entirely by the guardian (employee).
